ABOUT US

SEPT offers a unique shopping experience that re-introduces luxury items with a desirable modern wardrobe in mind. Each piece available through SEPT has been sourced and edited from past and pre-owned collections by fashion stylist and consultant Tracey Nicholson. The SEPT editions presented in our London studio and through SEPT.WORLD focus on authentic beautiful design which continues to feel right for the present and future.

Named after a Gaelic word which refers to a family or collective who lived outside the main territory SEPT seeks to position itself as independent of the current fashion calendar through focusing on quality that exists beyond the marketing of seasonal trends. 

Through the SEPT edit we hope to keep exceptional design, premium materials and a high level of craftsmanship in circulation for years to come, honouring the resources used to create each piece. Every item is in excellent condition and where necessary has been cleaned and restored by specialists. 

We hope this high level of discernment and love is felt through the items we sell, our visual language and packaging, and the appreciation and care we offer to our customers.

ABOUT FOUNDER TRACEY NICHOLSON

Tracey Nicholson has worked in the fashion industry as a stylist and consultant for twenty years. After graduating from Central St Martin’s College of Art & Design Tracey began her career at Dazed & Confused and AnOther Magazine. She went on to work at American Vogue and hold the position of US Fashion Editor at i-D Magazine, in addition to contributing to T: The New York Times Style Magazine, W, Vogue China, Modern Weekly China and V Magazine. Alongside her editorial work Tracey consulted and worked with international brands including Hermès, Lacoste, Tods, Kenzo, Calvin Klein, GAP, Donna Karan and Rolex.

Tracey brings these decades of knowledge and experience as an editor and stylist to SEPT and aims to curate an offering of exceptional design no matter when the piece was made.

“SEPT is a project that I have been dreaming of and working on for a number of years. It came about post pandemic as I returned to London from New York and wanted to have more consistency and community in my life and also step back from the fast pace and turnover of the current fashion system. As a stylist I have been surrounded by millions of pieces of clothing and accessories over the years. I hope to use my experience to build a space that offers a unique and interesting edit of clothing, accessories and objects that connect with a community of people who also appreciate great design, good value and an ethos of enjoying and caring for the things we own and the environment around us."

AUTHENTICITY

Every item sold on SEPT comes with an authenticity guarantee. Unlike third party platforms we physically inspect every piece we sell in person and partner with professional authenticators to insure that every item is authentic and conforms to the standards of the brand in terms of craftsmanship, construction, materials, weight, stitching, labels and stamps. Where possible we endeavour to include authenticity cards, packaging and supporting documents.

We are happy to provide additional information and images prior to purchase and if you have any concern after receiving the item we are happy to accept returns within 14 days for a full refund.

AVAILABILITY & CONDITION

Each piece shown on the website is available and ready to ship within 1-2 working days from our studio in London, United Kingdom. The condition of each piece is noted in the description and every item has been professionally cleaned and repaired where necessary so it is in the best possible condition and ready to wear from the moment you receive it. For most items we only have one in stock so once the item is sold it is no longer available. We are happy to try and source a desired piece. Please email us and tell us more and we will try our best to source it for you.

IN PERSON SHOPPING

All pieces shown on our website are available to try on in person in our studio in London, N1 7BJ. Please email us to set up an appointment.

DELIVERY & RETURNS

Efficient service is important to us and we aim to ship all purchases within 2 working days. We ship all items by DPD or DHL, which makes it possible to track the package.

If there is a delivery delay due to courier services or customs delays SEPT cannot be held liable. The customer is responsible for entering the correct shipping address and information. If there is an error please contact us immediately and we will do our best to amend the order provided the package has not already shipped.

Please take local customs laws and charges into account before placing you order. Items being delivered outside the UK will be subject to additional customs charges. The total of these additional charges are to be paid by the customer on or before delivery and cannot be refunded if the item is returned.

RETURNS

SEPT is happy to offer refunds for all online purchases returned to us within 14 days. Please email us within 7 days of receiving the item to request a return and send back to our studio in London to arrive within 14 days of when you received the item.

The customer is responsible for paying return shipping costs and ensuring returned items are received by us within the 14 day timeframe. We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service and SEPT is not responsible for any items lost by a shipping service or courier before they are received at our studio. Once the item is received by us and checked for condition we will refund you the original amount paid minus the initial shipping charges. Refunds will be processed within 2 working days and may take a few days to appear on your card depending on your bank or card policies.

When an item is shipped to a customer we keep a record of its condition when the order is prepared and packed. All returned items must be received by us in the same condition recorded at time of shipping with all labels and tags still attached. We cannot accept returns where tags have been removed or items have been damaged or worn. Please avoid wearing make up, body lotion and jewellery when trying pieces on at home. SEPT is not liable for any damage that results when an item is in the care of a customer or return shipping company and any marks, stains, pulls and other damage may be subject to a cleaning and repair fee and may affect the validity of the return.

INTERNATIONAL / EU RETURNS

We ask that any international and EU customers take extra time to consider their purchase and the sizing and measurements listed before buying. Customs charges paid when receiving the item cannot be refunded and returns sent back to the UK from the EU / Rest of World may be subject to return customs charges whose payment SEPT is not responsible for and may be deducted from the amount refunded to the customer. To avoid these charges please ensure all returns are clearly labeled as RETURNED GOODS to avoid any customs duty when the returned items enter the U.K. Please contact us to request customs paperwork which we will email to you to assist the smooth delivery of returns from the EU and all other non UK countries.

SELLING WITH SEPT

At SEPT we pride ourselves on a unique edit of pre-owned and past collection items. Many of our pieces come from members of our community who wish to keep unworn items from their wardrobes in circulation. If you have pieces from the brands listed on our website that you would like to sell through SEPT please email us and we can set up a virtual or in person appointment or you can email or text us images. If you live in London a member of our team can pick up ten or more pieces in person or schedule a courier pick up from your home or office. We will clean, restore and photograph all items and then list them for sale online.
